In Russia, sales of Apple, Dell and HP laptops were observed, but demand for Huawei and Honor increased.
Dell laptop sales are 90% registered since January of this year. More than 15 Dell laptops were sold in January, according to thousands of Marvel Distribution analysts, in August 1670 alone. Sales of HP laptops fell by a factor of three during that period, and MacBook sales by a factor of four.
Significantly higher sales of laptops were raised by M.Video-Eldorado and Citylink.
The number of portable computers sold among local residents has increased since January of this year. Sales of thousands of Huawei from January to August rose by 372% to 33 units, and Honor – by 113% to 20.7 thousand units.
The total number of laptops sold in the first eight months of 2022 in Russia amounted to 1.9 million. In August, 178.7 thousand devices were sold, which is 43% less than in January this year.
HP remains the sales leader with a market share of 21%. It is followed by Lenovo (18%), Acer (13%), Asus (12%) and Apple (8%). According to the results of eight months, the market share of Huawei and Honor will be 7% and 6%, respectively. [Ведомости]
