According to the information conveyed by users on Reddit and Twitter, the like counter is not displayed in its normal position and appears in the descriptions of the videos. Others argue that the accountant simply disappeared.
Either way, it’s important to note that only a few people have seen the change, so the streaming platform may be doing limited testing. So far, YouTube has not confirmed that it is running tests to remove the like counter.
Has the number of likes expired?
According to Twitter user Thabet_Yusuf’s experience, the like counter has disappeared from its normal position, but can be viewed when the video description is opened. For most people, the counter is displayed just below the video.
Until then, the change was only reported on the mobile version of YouTube, so the counter continues to appear normally on computers, consoles and Smart TVs.
