According to a recent interview with Yoshinori Kitase, the story of Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion Will Have Something “Strange” which might surprise anyone who has played the FF7 remake. Kitase reiterated that the story will be about the same than that of the original title released on PSP in 2007, suggesting that players may notice something odd at some point.

Yoshinori Kitase went on to say that this new version of Crisis Core should still be considered an integral part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake project. The game will feature a slew of improvements over the original version, including improved camera and character movements, a new combat system menu-based optimized interface, new arrangements created by Takeharu Ishimoto and a full dubbing of the scenes.
