Another major update for Telegram on iOS has been released.
One of the discussions was the innovation of “topics” – separate chats within the group to discuss specific topics. Available in groups with over 200 followers.
Now you can collect nicknames in the messenger. They will be added to the main one, they can be changed. Bought on the Fragment platform.
For paid users, a decryption of video messages was introduced. Their voice is translated into text.
Finally, there are new emojis and animations, as well as an update to the night mode.

I am very excited about today’s Telegram update. It evolves in large groups, turning those in-line chats into mobile-friendly versions of the good internet forums.
Ironically, the very first task of an Internet service I created about 20 years ago was also an Internet forum – a bulletin board for my university students, which eventually turned into a student portal in the UK.
16 years ago, I again chose the forums in the “Communities” section of the social networks VKontakte, which I often meet. VKontakte was chosen as the platform for communication in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries, the choice of the forum was used by tens of millions of people.
I am nostalgic for those times: I had not yet learned how to hire engineers and designers, so I programmed and designed everything myself, working 20 hours a day.
Today, I’m lucky to have the world’s best programmer, who recreates the forum for hundreds of millions of people on all platforms more than these days, in a fast and accessible way. Telegram will now support organized conversations that involve people discussing various topics in the same group.
Today’s “themes” have many features, including the ability to pin and pin themes, flexible salience options, and lots of fun emoji fun to use as a salience theme. But this is only the beginning. Taking advantage of the two week delay caused by Apple, we started to expand these new multi-threaded groups into something even more powerful.
