Apple has announced that satellite connectivity in the Sports Day iPhone 14 is operational in the US and Canada. It is used to communicate with emergency services in places where there is no cellular network and Wi-Fi.
Apple also said that satellite communications work in Germany, Germany, the UK and France.
The service will be available to iPhone 14 owners free of charge for two years.
