iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max get new mute and volume buttons, informed author of the ZONEofTECH YouTube channel.

According to him, Apple will abandon the silent mode switch, which has long been a signature feature of the iPhone. Instead, Apple installs a regular button that will turn off the sound when pressed.

The blogger also believes that Apple is taking a unified position on volume control. The renderings of the iPhone 15 Pro show two contacts under load, while the regular iPhone 15 has four. This is because the iPhone 15 removes separate volume adjustment buttons.

Apple has installed separate volume buttons on all iPhones since the iPhone 4. But the iPhone 2G, 3G, and 3GS had one volume rocker.
