Developed by Israeli company Elbit Systems, the drone can be launched manually or from a multicopter that can carry multiple kamikaze drones. However, LANIUS is not designed to operate over long distances.

It is noted that the maximum speed and maneuverability of the drone, which was developed on the basis of racing models, is high. LANIUS can reach speeds of up to 72 km/h and has a maximum take-off weight of 1.2 kg. The drone can stay in the air for up to seven minutes.

LANIUS can also communicate via Wi-Fi or radio, and Elbit highlights its ability to work with a human, while the drone can go offline when needed.

Also, LANIUS can generate 3D terrain maps and AI-powered drone core can accurately classify targets.
