Whoosh electric scooter rental service database is for sale

The database is current as of November 2022, according to the Telegram channel “Data1eaks / Database Leaks”.

In two files with user lists, in addition to phone numbers, there are names, email, part of the bank card data and other information. “The leak has affected a significant part of the inhabitants of Russia,” the authors of the channel believe.

RB.RU asked the Whoosh press service for comment, they repeated the company’s position in early November.

In early November, Whoosh reported that hackers had attempted to steal customer data. The security service conducted an internal investigation and stopped the leak, but the hackers still gained access to some data. The company then turned to law enforcement agencies.

The service said the leak “did not affect sensitive user data, such as account access, transaction information, or travel details.”
