According to the publication, Russian Post will be headed by Mikhail Volkov, who currently manages the National Lottery. He was the leading candidate for the job, Kommersant reported.
The current head of Russian Post, Maxim Akimov, who has been running it since 2020, will leave the company for personal reasons. According to the newspaper’s sources, the reason for his departure was the poor economic performance of the operator.
Russian Post is 100% owned by the state of the Russian Federation, so the decision to change the leadership is made by the government.
