In Russia, it was proposed to create a system for identifying users of computer games. The authors of the initiative consider it necessary to introduce appropriate requirements for game developers and, according to them, services such as Sber ID and Yandex ID could be used to identify the user.
The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region, a member of United Russia, Vladimir Kiselev, spoke about the idea of introducing the identification of users of computer games in Russia. According to him, the possibility of creating an appropriate system is currently being discussed.
The authors of the initiative believe that the identity of the user of a computer game could be established through Russian identification systems, as an example, the Sber ID and Yandex ID services are provided.
In early December, it became known about the intention of the Russian government to introduce the age mark for video games. We are talking about the installation of a system of age restrictions, similar to the international PEGI. Changes to the federal project “Regulatory regulation of the digital environment” are planned to be introduced before the end of the year.
