Twitter announced the relaunch of the Twitter Blue subscription on December 12th.

Subscribers receive a blue check mark confirming that the account is real. They will also have access to advanced functionality: editing tweets, downloading videos in 1080p resolution, adjusting the nickname displayed in the feed, and profile photos.

We’re relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday – subscribe online for $8/month or iOS for $11/month to access the subscriber-only feature, including the blue checkmark.

The $11 increase is due to the 30% iOS fee that Twitter uses to list on the App Store.

Earlier, the social network suspended the subscription, because it was not necessary to deal with fake “verified” accounts. Apparently, now the situation should change.
