The Counter Strike: Global Offensive team of the German esports organization G2 Esports won the final of the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 tournament. The most valuable player of the competition was 17-year-old Russian Ilya m0NESY Osipov.

The tournament itself was held in Abu Dhabi from December 14 to 18. Their prize fund totaled $1 million, $500,000 of which went to the winners. Eight teams entered the competition, including the Russian Outsiders, who placed 7th and 8th and won $25,000.

In the grand final, the German team faced the team from the American organization Team Liquid. The match took place on the Inferno and Mirage maps, which G2 won with a score of 16:7 and 16:12, respectively.

The best player (MVP) of BLAST Premier was the sniper of the winning team m0NESY. In the decisive series, the player made 39 kills with 28 kills. For Ilya, this is the first award of its kind.

Last month, Russian Outsiders (formerly Virtus.pro) won the 2022 IEM Rio Major in Rio de Janeiro and earned $500,000 for the win. In the final, they defeated the Danish team Heroic with a score of 2:0.
