In December 2022, a meme about a “drink” infused with the carcass of a dead mole gained popularity among Twitter users. One of the users said that he once had the opportunity to try a specific drink. His confession caused a stir on the social network, and then the man decided to share the recipe for the so-called mole bun.

The meme has become so popular that Rospotrebnadzor had to issue a warning. The agency warned that the use of “mole” is extremely dangerous and undesirable. Its reception can cause death or disable a person. They also pointed out that moles often suffer from all kinds of parasites.
