Russia approved the criteria for obtaining a residence permit by foreign investors

The resolution lists four options for obtaining a residence permit in Russia by foreign investors:

1. Invest at least 15 million rubles in socially significant projects of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation during the last three years.
2. Register a legal entity in Russia in the form of a commercial company, limited liability company, public limited company, peasant economy (farm) or economic company. This legal entity must carry out commercial activities for the last two years, as well as pay insurance premiums to non-budgetary funds of the State. The alien must be the sole member of a corporation or LLC.
3. Invest at least 30 million rubles in a Russian legal entitywho has been doing business in the country for the last three years.
4. Purchase real estate under construction or within two years of commissioning. At the same time, the required total cadastral value of the property depends on the region: at least 50 million for Moscow, 20 million for the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District and 25 million for other regions.

Registration of a Russian residence permit will take at least one and a half years. It will take six months to obtain a temporary residence permit, after which you will need to live in this state for at least a year in order to apply for a residence permit.
