Xiaomi 12 series update to global version MIUI 14 from this Monday (16). The new version of the interface, based on Android 13, started to be distributed only in the territory of China last December and is now available to users in other countries.
According to Android HeadersThe update comes first to the standard model of the series, but other variants of the Xiaomi 12 will also hear about it in the coming days. Another detail is that the release is in advance for those included in the beta program of the Chinese brand, but the software will be available to everyone soon.
The setup file for the new version of the interface weighs about 4.43 GB, so it is recommended to download it while connected to a high-speed Wi-Fi network. The assembly referencing the public version has the definition MIUI 14.0.2.0 (TLCMIXM).
As the image shared by the post points out, MIUI 14 comes with the January 2023 security patch, along with Android 13 released by Xiaomi. This means that the operating system brings the latest bug fixes made available by Google.
What does it bring again?
Announced at the end of 2022, MIUI 14 promises to offer a faster and more optimized experience on phones manufactured by the Chinese giant. Fewer pre-installed applications, end-to-end encryption of locally saved data, and duplicate file detection are other points of interest.
Different sized icons, customizable folders and new widgets are some of the other innovations introduced in the updated interface. It is interesting to note that the global version of the software is considered more pure, as it does not offer custom solutions to Chinese users.
In addition to Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 12, Android 13 based new generation MIUI for other models of the brand should be released soon. Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 and Redmi K50 series (standard, Pro, Ultra and Gaming Edition) will be the next winners according to the brand’s schedule.
