The Perm service for accepting payments in online games Xsolla has transferred its legal entities in Russia under the control of an American company, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Earlier, RB.RU announced the liquidation of the company’s parent organization in Russia.

Xsolla transferred all Russian assets under the control of an American company

As of January 17, Xsolla LLC, System Projects LLC and Xsolla Games LLC are 99.9% owned by American Xsolla Holding Company, 0.1% remains with Xsolla founder Alexander Agapitov.

In June 2022, it became known that the parent organization of the online gaming payment acceptance service, Xsolla Russian Holding LLC, was in the process of liquidation. At the time, it also belonged to the US-registered Xsolla Holding Company. The liquidation process ended on December 30, 2022.

In March last year, the founder of the company, Alexander Agapitov, announced plans to transfer part of the employees of various offices abroad. Xsolla is known to have offices in the US, South Korea, China and Germany.

  • Xsolla appeared in Perm in 2006. The head office is located in Los Angeles. The company develops solutions for simplified payment acceptance by game publishers, developers and distributors. Partners include Twitch, Epic Games, and others.
  • The company attracted media attention in the summer of 2021, when the founder announced the dismissal of almost 150 people based on an analysis of their activity in emails, chats, documents. Alexander Agapitov’s intentions caused a lot of negativity on social networks, and the State Duma also announced violations of labor laws by the company.
  • In 2021, the company made around $100 million. At the end of April 2022 in the US, two investment banks valued the IT company at $3 billion if it decides to go public.
