Some businesses were allowed to not pay quarterly insurance premiums until May 2024. The government has extended the tax deferral for these businesses, first granted in March 2022.
The extension of the delay in the payment of insurance premiums until the end of May 2024 for the second quarter of 2022 was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with deputy prime ministers.
The postponement will be extended for those companies that have already accepted the postponement. The measure will affect some companies in 70 types of activities: health, science, culture, tourism, food production and others, the prime minister said.
Insurance premium payments have also been changed for sole proprietors who previously enjoyed a deferral. Payment of accrued contributions for 2021 from income above 300 thousand rubles has been postponed until May 1, 2024.
In March 2022, changes were made to the tax code of the Russian Federation, which provide for the provision of a deferral for the payment of insurance premiums. Initially, the delay was to be valid until May 2023.
