The Russians began to buy 1.5 times more in the markets

The share of shoppers’ spending on online platforms rose to 8.5% from 5.6% a year earlier. This is stated by the Tinkoff eCommerce study, the results of which were reviewed by Izvestia.

Most of all, the Russians bought goods in November: this month accounted for 12% of all payments on the parquets. At the same time, the average amount of a purchase on the markets slightly decreased during the year and amounted to about 2 thousand rubles.

At the end of 2022, the number of sellers in the markets also increased. Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex.Market, KazanExpress, Aliexpress became the most popular trading platforms.

According to preliminary data from the Association of Internet Commerce Companies (AKIT), last year Russian e-commerce crossed the 5 trillion ruble barrier, having increased by more than 30%.

In the next few years, the online trading market will grow two to three times. One of its main drivers is markets, says the study.
