In 2022, China became the leading country importing cars to Russia. In the year, imports increased by 40% and exceeded 117 thousand pieces. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the Federal Customs Service.
In 2023, according to preliminary data from the Avtostat analysis agency, the volume of the new passenger car market in Russia will amount to 650,000 units. This is 4% more than in 2022. In the optimistic forecast, the volume will be 780 thousand units, and in the pessimistic forecast, 550 thousand units.
This year, for example, Chinese Changan intends to bring three new products to Russia: the UNI-V liftback, the CS85 coupe-crossover and the CS95 flagship crossover.
