Alrosa will allocate 100 million rubles for the creation of Russian software by Yakut IT companies

“Alrosa will allocate 100 million rubles over the next three years for the joint development of software products by IT companies of the republic. The main areas of application are geological exploration, production and enrichment, equipment maintenance and repair, industrial safety,” said the head of the region, Aisen Nikolaev, on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the software developed must take into account the needs of the company in terms of import substitution.

The executive director of Alrosa, Sergei Ivanov, and the director of the Innovation Development Fund of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Vasily Efimov, reportedly signed an agreement to support innovation on January 30.

Alrosa was placed on the US and UK sanctions lists in connection with the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

As previously reported, in 2022 approximately 100,000 IT specialists will leave Russia. 80% of them continue to work for national companies, but this does not solve the problem of staff shortages. Against this background, IT specialists were previously offered to search among the players.
