The NJ Tech YouTube channel has tested the performance of the i9-12900K and Ryzen 7 5800X3D processors in several modern games and applications. You can see the main features of the processors and the test results in the benchmarks below.

Productions of the games were started in Battlefield 2042, Far Cry 6, Call of Duty: Warzone, Hitman 3, Cyberpunk 2077, F1 2021, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Rainbow Six Siege, Dota 2, CS: GO.

The DX12 and low preset Battlefield 2042 managed average speeds of 143 fps (Ryzen 7 5800X3D, stock), 148 fps (i9-12900K, stock) and 151 fps (i9-12900K, stock) at 5.1 GHz with the RTX 3080. 3060 – 102 fps in any case.

Far Cry 6 was released with DX12 graphics settings Low, RT Off. Average performance here with the RTX 3080 was 179 fps, 157 fps and 167 fps with the RTX 3060 – 119, 118, 119 fps (stock Ryzen 7 5800X3D at 5.1 GHz, stock i9-12900K, i9-12900K).

Call of Duty: Warzone came with DX12 and a low preset. Average FPS in this case was 293 fps, 302 fps and 308 fps with the RTX 3080 (AMD stock, Intel stock, Intel c 5.1 GHz, respectively), RTX 3060 173 fps, 172 fps and 173 fps.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider The DX12 started with the AA Off, low preset. Average performance was 286 fps (AMD, stock), 262 fps (Intel, stock) and 267 fps (Intel, 5.1 GHz) with the RTX 3080, 192 fps in all situations with the RTX 3060.

In nine games (excluding CS:GO), average FPS with the RTX 3080 was 296 fps (R7 5800X3D, stock), 281 fps (i9-12900K, stock) and 290 fps (i9-12900K, 5.1 GHz). Accordingly, the percentage difference between AMD and Intel with the RTX 3080 was 5% (stock) and 2% (5.1 GHz), and with the RTX 3060 – 1.5% and 1%.
