MTS systems are being tested by Sollers and Motorinvest, with the latter even talking about their serial use, writes Kommersant.

Multimedia systems are usually supplied with the car, but may be sold separately. Most often they run on Linux, a modified version of Android or a special operating system for embedded solutions – Windows CE, QNX, webOS.

The interlocutors of the newspaper in the auto parts market say that the MTS system will run on Linux or Linux combined with Android if it receives certification from Google.

The development of MTS will have a touch screen on which you can set music, navigation, air conditioning. Also, smartphones on iOS or Android must be connected to it.

In 2019, MTS already entered this market – the company sold devices on the Yandex.Auto platform, but a year later, support for devices was stopped.
