Internet lately or rather Twitter users finds himself in the middle of a battle… curious. Finally, wired headphones are already outdated and can even be considered a “vintage” item?

The controversy began when a tool published an article commenting that wired headphones were “returning” because they were “cool”. The inspiration actually came from Wired it Girls, the Instagram page with 13,000 followers.

In the bio, the profile describes itself as a practical trendsetter and praises “hot girls” who wear wired headphones. To prove this claim, the feed puts together photos of several celebrities wearing the accessory, including actress Jenna Ortega and model Balla Hadid.

Of course, the topic has taken over social media. While some users criticize the new fashion, others think that they have never left wired headphones behind.

One Twitter user commented, “Wired headphones are the cancer of humanity, I will never use this again in my life.”

In response, a person pointed out the advantages of the object. “Wired earphones have always been and always will be superior, just having the assurance of not randomly losing one of the earphones in the middle of the street and still protecting my cell phone from drops is worth the minutes I spend unwinding the cable” . What does the data say

While wired headphones are seen by some as accessories of the moment, TWS (true wireless) headphones still have a long way to go.

According to Counterpoint Research data, the wireless headphone market continues to grow. For example, in 2021 global shipments increased by 24% compared to 2020. Even during the pandemic period, unit sales rose to nearly 300 million.

The research shows that with the addition of new features such as noise canceling to the headphones and the introduction of more affordable models, people stay connected to wireless devices.
