According to Datacenter Dynamics, many regions of Turkey simultaneously faced a sharp decline in network traffic. Gaziantep is reported to be one of the most affected regions – internet traffic there decreased by 57% compared to last week.
At the same time, telecommunications companies such as Turkcell and Turk Telekom are actively restoring Internet communications in the affected areas.
For example, they installed mobile base stations, sent generators and satellite communications equipment, and made free calls to both mobile phones and landlines.
It is known that Wi-Fi points are also installed in some parts of Turkey. Thus, citizens have access to the Internet.
