Wildberries reported a surge in Russian interest in adult board games, 18+ products and projectors for watching movies on the eve of February 14. The site’s analysts studied about 85.8 million orders from Russians in two weeks, from January 27 to February 9, 2023.
Among the products in which the interest of Russians on the eve of February 14, 2023 grew at a more dynamic rate are erotic board games for couples. Demand for them from January 27 to February 9 doubled compared to the same period last year.
Demand for sex swings also increased notably (by 382% YoY) and sex machines (by 561%). Aphrodisiac incense is also chosen to create a romantic atmosphere (750% increase in demand).
Wildberries analysts suggest that going to the cinema on Valentine’s Day during the absence of world premieres of films will be replaced by Russian ones with “home theaters”: sales of projectors grew by 438%, and screens for them – by 412 % year after year. .
Candy and stuffed animals turned out to be among the most in-demand gifts for Valentine’s Day: these categories at Wildberries bought the most in pieces.
