From the moment foreign companies began to leave the Russian market, the number of domestic manufacturers increased by 17-20%, said Nazariy Skrypnik, head of the Federal Accreditation Service, in an interview with Izvestia.
In 2022, Russia’s main trading partners were the states of Southeast Asia and the Persian Gulf. Before the imposition of sanctions, importers registered certificates for goods mainly from the US and the EU. In 2022, the situation has changed, now more than 30% of the documents are registered for products from China.
Skrypnik also pointed to the large percentage of Muslims who are part of the country’s consumer market. Today there are more than 20 million of them. However, halal products are popular not only among Muslim residents of the country.
According to Skrypnik, many Russians consider halal to be a sign of high quality, so the demand for these products is only increasing. In this regard, Rosaccreditation will issue uniform standards for halal products. In Russia, special halal hotels can be launched.
Previously, a simplified scheme for declaring goods began to work in the Russian Federation, thanks to which companies were able to save up to 1 billion rubles, Skrypnik added. Rosakkreditatsiya introduced a special service for recording such statements. It allows you to reduce the import time from 20-30 days to a week.
