In seven regions of Russia, they plan to establish a special regime for testing heavy drones

Russia plans to test heavy drones for agriculture. To do this, it will be necessary to introduce an experimental legal regime in the territories where the tests will take place, reports Vedomosti.

The purpose of the special legal regime is to allow the use of drones that can lift more than 30 kg of fertilizer for crop processing. The regime is planned to enter the territory of 490 thousand hectares in seven regions of Russia: the Tatarstan, Rostov, Samara, Belgorod, Novosibirsk regions, as well as the Krasnodar and Altai regions.

The tests will be carried out by the BAS Consortium company created by Russian Post and Skolkovo. It is planned to use 60 unmanned vehicles for 80 agricultural companies.
