Yandex has launched trials of a taxi service under the Yango brand in Mozambique and Namibia. Until now, you can apply for a car only in the capitals of these states. Thus, the Yango taxi coverage area has increased to 16 countries.
A taxi service under the Yandex brand Yango began operating in the African countries of Mozambique and Namibia. The car can be ordered in the capitals of these states – Maputo and Windhoek, TASS drew attention.
In March 2018, Yandex launched the Yango taxi service in Latvia, thus entering the EU market. In November of the same year, the service was launched in Finland and Israel. At the same time, it was announced that the service would develop the African market.
In March 2019, the Yango taxi service was launched in Romania and Ghana. It currently operates in 16 countries, including Bolivia, Congo, Senegal, Cameroon, Norway, Angola.
