EcoPoint, a Skolkovo resident, has launched an EcoTech project for recycling. In Nizhny Novgorod, a “smart” collection point has been launched, which works on the basis of artificial intelligence, the company told RB.RU.
Thanks to the neural network, the system can recognize recyclable materials and assess their purity for further processing. Additionally, citizens who donate their waste can expect to be rewarded. Funds are sent through the fast payment system by phone number.
The system determines the quality of delivered materials with an accuracy of more than 95%, says EcoPoint. Today, residents can bring in aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and waste paper. In the future, it is planned to begin accepting glass and electrical scrap.
The company’s developers foresaw the risks of fraud, so they introduced machine vision into the system. Only high-quality material is selected for processing.
