The success of ChatGPT, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool created by OpenAI, has been stimulating the technology industry in recent months. For example, big players in the market like Google are already chasing “loss” and trying to create their own AI chatbots to compete with the platform. Now, Samsung is the one who wants a share of this news.

At a recent conference in Malaysia, Samsung’s head of mobile devices, TM Roh, hinted that the brand could start partnering with major IT companies to develop smart speech technologies for its devices.

In fact, Roh, who cited ChatGPT as an example during his speech, said, “ChatGPT’s machine learning and deep learning showed innovations. […] The language model will pave the way for Samsung’s further development.”

The new Bixby model?

If all this is true, Samsung can create a modern and fast AI chat to accompany its smartphones, tablets, televisions and more. The report states that the company’s Artificial Intelligence department “will be open to collaborating with different partners to find better AI technologies in the future.” Investor.

The Korean giant already has an artificial intelligence-based chat tool called Bixby that integrates into different company devices. Even in 2017, the company acquired the Fluently initiative to further develop the tool.
