The wholesale company Metro and the grocery delivery service Sbermarket have opened an independent dark store with an area of more than 1,000 square meters. meters in the Dubrovka district in Moscow. This was reported to RB.RU by a representative of Sbermarket.
The opening of the darkstore should reduce the delivery time for customers in the Central and Eastern districts of the capital to one hour. Previously, the delivery interval was an average of several hours.
The warehouse has about 5 thousand basic items, which are in demand among customers. The room has zones with different temperature regimes, which allow you to place both products with a long shelf life, and fresh, ultra-fresh and frozen.
Adjacent to the dark store is a busy Metro shopping center, from where collectors can pick up lost items.
This is the second joint dark store of Metro and Sbermarket, the first opened at the end of 2021 in the Pechatniki district.
