They are part of the next-generation Starlink constellation and will operate under the SpaceX Starlink Gen2 FCC license, which allows for up to 7,500 launches from a nominal 29,998 satellites.

Each device is expected to weigh no more than 830 kg, be equipped with the most powerful antennas and provide access to a new set of frequencies. Also, the smaller size will not prevent 21 V2 Mini satellites from providing approximately 50% more bandwidth than 57 V1.5 satellites.

The most interesting thing is that the launch of new products will take place today, on February 27. This means that the pros and cons of the Starlink V2 Mini will be noticed in the near future.
