Gazprombank Leasing is negotiating with Yurent the entry into the capital of the kicksharing service. Vedomosti sources talk about two possible options for the deal: the company can receive a share to finance the purchase of 85 thousand electric scooters or for the supply of scooters for three years, until 2025.
The interlocutors of the publication do not know the size of the action. The market value of the Segway Ninebot electric scooter used by Yurent ranges from 75,000 to 90,000 rubles, but wholesale purchases “will be at the lower end of the range.” The total investment in the service can be about 6.4 billion rubles.
Finam FG analyst Leonid Delitsyn suggests that Gazprombank Leasing will receive a 40-45% stake and the company’s valuation will be about 15 billion rubles. GPB’s lease structure will not claim more than a 50% stake as it is unlikely to want to run the company.
By the end of 2022, Yurent had more than 85,000 scooters. The revenue of the parent company Yurentbay.ru LLC in 2021 amounted to 1.4 billion rubles, a net loss of 78.1 million rubles.
According to the Thrushering portal, the size of the kicksharing market in Russia will triple by 2025 compared to the result of 2022 and will reach 39.5 billion rubles. And the total fleet of kicksharing services will amount to 439 thousand scooters against 192 thousand in 2022.
