Roskomnadzor has unblocked the Shutterstock photo bank website. The resource is freely available, you do not need a VPN service to use it. The department explained that Shutterstock removed “prohibited information,” due to the location from which it was blocked.

Roskomnadzor unlocked access to the Shutterstock photo bank

The website of one of the world’s largest photo banks, Shutterstock, is once again available in Russia without using a VPN service. Roskomnadzor has unlocked access to the resource, the department told Vedomosti.

Shutterstock users began experiencing difficulties accessing the resource on February 26. On March 1, Roskomnadzor announced that it had blocked access to the photobank due to its placement of “destructive materials”.

The operator of Shutterstock has removed “prohibited materials” so access is no longer restricted, Roskomnadzor explained.
