Foreign intermediaries stop supplying iPhones to Russia through parallel imports, Izvestia reports.

This is due to recent US sanctions that prohibit $300 from being exported to the environment.

Some of the Middle East intermediaries have already notified their partners of their refusal to purchase parallel import search devices in the country, a source in the consumer electronics market told Izvestiya.

Another source claims that so far there have been no refusals to cooperate from abroad, but this is a matter of time.

In the coming months, this may lead to a shortage of some models of mid-range and premium smartphones, as well as an increase in their prices. But the Ministry of Industry and Trade takes a different position.

New restrictive measures may lead to a short-term effect in the restructuring of supply chains, but at the same time, shortages and price increases for premium smartphones are not expected.

It is not yet clear how exactly they will be invited. The US ban could affect all devices that use US patents and technologies, including Chinese and South Korean smartphones. [Известия]
