It looks like the Guinness Book of World Records will gladly accept any extraordinary feat, no matter how bizarre or crazy.
Eventually, he officially set the record for the farthest eyeball pop, in which a person’s eyeballs protrude from their sockets to the point that they look like they’re about to pop out. The Guinness Book of World Records also holds the record for the fastest high-heeled tightrope walk, as well as the longest boat ride made from a pumpkin.
All of them could easily enter the Guinness Book of Records for the most useless Guinness World Records, but there is no official record for this (yet).
Another possible contender for this title will undoubtedly be the world record for the most selfies taken in three minutes. Just because?
Recently, Indian actor Akshay Kumar established a new selfie recording during a promotional event for his latest film titled selfie (oh, that’s why).
In the video released by Guinness World Records on Thursday, we see Kumar smiling, smiling as he gleefully walks away with his smartphone as numerous fans flock in and out of the frame. The Bollywood star clearly took the time to perfect her technique, gently but decisively leaning to the left and then to the right, repeating this maneuver over and over to make the most of her limited time.
It’s not clear if the stunt was a contractual obligation or Kumar’s dream idea when he was feeling bad, but the fact that he went through with it suggests the latter.
So how many selfies did the actor manage to take in three minutes? According to a Guinness World Records official who was invited to test the effort in Mumbai, 184.
It broke the record set by a guy named James Smith five years ago when he took 168 selfies in the same amount of time. Before that, the record was set by celebrity Donnie Wahlberg, who took 122 selfies. Wahlberg took the record from The Rock, who took just 105 selfies.
