Sergei Piven, who previously held management positions at Marathon Group, the largest shareholder of retailer Magnit, has been appointed Avito’s chief financial officer (CFO). Avito’s representative announced the changes on RB.RU.

A native of the shareholder company Magnit became the chief financial officer of Avito.

Piven took over as chief financial officer on March 1. According to the senior manager himself, his main tasks in the new position will be “to improve planning processes and help in the effective allocation of resources.”

In the period from 2019 to 2022, Piven held management positions at Marathon Group. From 2015 to 2019, he headed one of the largest pharmaceutical distributors in Russia, SIA International, and also worked at Alfa Group, A1, X5 Group, Ford Motor Co. in Cologne.

Avito has owned Ivan Tavrin’s Kismet Capital Group since October 2022. The number of active ads on the site exceeds 137 million, the monthly audience reaches 60 million users.
