This spring, the site of one of the largest markets will offer the opportunity to buy NFTs. The section with non-fungible tokens will be called the Amazon Digital Marketplace.
According to TheBigWhale, Amazon has set a date for the introduction of Web3 tools into its ecosystem. The NFT section will be available to US users on April 24.
It is known that at first it will be possible to buy only NFT from one of the 15 presented collections. These will likely be well-known projects like CryptoPunks and Bored Ape Yacht Club. After a trial period in the US, Amazon plans to launch an NFT marketplace in other countries.
The fact that Amazon is working on its own platform to sell NFTs became known in January thanks to Blockworkds. However, the launch of the project was postponed several times due to the crypto winter and the consequences of the collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange.
