If you are not living in a tank of the last 10-12 months, then it’s not for me to manage: store shelves are empty, especially in terms of mid-priced laptops, because AAA brands are gone. Yes, there are analyzed imports, but blocking chains are constantly interrupted, plus such goods do not have a guarantee. It doesn’t suit everyone.

Therefore, the brands that remained on the market, mainly from the Middle Kingdom, began to fill the shelves in hardware stores very actively. The competition between them is high, so one of the main tools to get around this competition is a product at an affordable price, but of good quality, so that the buyer does not notice addiction eminent .

In this review, I will talk about a laptop called EXPERTBOOK from HIPER, which is perfect as a working tool for most ordinary users.

under the term “ordinary“I mean a person who:

a) getting used to using Windows
b) uses a laptop for office work
c) doesn’t play games
d) does not want to overpay for the name or powerful stuffing

Not a technologist, not a fan of defeating rivals in AAA-class computer titles, not a fan of the “apple”. People, hobbyists, love HIPER EXPERTBOOK, typing letters and documents, making a spreadsheet, surfing the internet, watching movies, counting and sorting. For them, a laptop is a “horse” that meets day after day without prodding, technical problems and without brakes.

If you found out about yourself in the recording, it means that this test is for you. HIPER EXPERTBOOK have all the above qualities workhorses, and even his body is machined from aluminum. The price tag is adequate, starts from 55,000 rubles, depending on the filling.

And what is under his hood – now I will show:

Design, screen, charging

Just a laptop, just works. Nothing extra.

In terms of appearance, HIPER EXPERTBOOK looks classic. No sudden elements, like cameras instead of one of the buttons on the keyboard or other devices.

The upper and lower parts of the body are made of aluminum, which immediately distinguishes the laptop from the opposite devices in the same price category.

Due to the durable metal, the panel is not pressed through in the area, and in general the aluminum case looks presentable. Plastic is used only on the sides of the screen.

The neat logo on the lid does not attract attention.

Screen 15.6″, matte, with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The maximum resolution is 1920×1080 (Full HD), brightness brightness 250 cd/m², contrast ratio 700:1.

The magnification margin for working in direct sunlight will not be enough, there’s nothing to be done about it. However, in kindergarten, no inconvenience gets tired, work for HIPER EXPERTBOOK is pleasant and your eyes do not get tired.

The display is calibrated for everyday work and entertainment, like watching movies, but it’s not very suitable for graphics work. If you’re into Photoshop, and that’s one of the things that influences your choice of laptop, this one won’t work for you. Still, there are more to work with flowers. specialized models.

The screen size of 15.6 inches is very comfortable, no need to squint.

Interestingly, the laptop has a 180-degree lid opening. This is handy if you want to do something on healthcare prone material – you can open the EXPERTBOOK at the most comfortable angle. The swivel connection is reliable, the lid opens smoothly, without extraneous sounds and backlash.

Surprisingly, HIPER EXPERTBOOK is the FIRST Windows laptop whose lid can be opened with one hand. No need to constantly repeat the laptop, just pry off the cover and pull it up. It opens, the lower part remains on the table. Hiper did what the engineers of the top models of other world-famous brands could not do, miracles!

The laptop does not look bulky.

The lower part has slots for the removal of warm air from the case and semicircular rubber “legs”. Moreover, the rear ones are slightly larger than the front ones, so that the laptop is slightly tilted on the table to make it more convenient to type texts.

The backlit keyboard with key housing is virtually silent. In the right position, the device’s power button is framed by a circular backlight – this is the only indicator, there are no others. All settings to enable a disabled block or Capslock function are displayed as setting windows on the screen.

The touchpad is not centered, but slightly shifted to the left. This is not a designer’s mistake: if you need to use a calculator and you have activated the number pad on the right side of the keyboard, your right hand will rest comfortably on the HIPER EXPERTBOOK case without interfering with the touch pad for left hand mouse cursor control.

Responsive and comfortable touchpad.

You can find some useful ports in the case: two USB ports on the left (one high-speed 3.0, the second standard, version 2.0), two USB-C ports and a standard 3.5 mm combo jack.

Both USB-C can be used to charge the device, as well as to display the image from it on the big screen with up to 4K resolution. In the event of USB-C, you can connect an adapter with a bunch of additional connectors and ports, if such an initiative suddenly arises.

Ports are located on the side faces of the case on the right and left.

On this description, the design can be completed. As I noted above, the laptop is classic, emphasizing the business style and seriousness of the owner. Without flashing multi-colored lights, luminous logos and other tinsel.

Even the brand name on the outside of the lid is engraved as accurately as possible and does not catch the eye. We like this design.

Filling, touchpad, sound

The lid is thin but strong. It’s still aluminum.

At the heart of my HIPER EXPERTBOOK is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600U processor clocked at 2.3GHz that can go up to 4.2GHz in Turbo mode. The integrated solution from Radeon is responsible for the graphics.

To perform work tasks, HIPER EXPERTBOOK will last for several years, and if you need to work, you can also drive “tanks”, the system will pull network batteries with ease.

For fans of numbers, here are the technical specifications:

Screen: IPS 15.6″, 16:9 aspect ratio, IPS, 1920×1080 pixels, 141 PPI, 60Hz
Chip: AMD Ryzen 5 5600U, 7nm, released in 2021
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2666MHz, expandable up to 64GB
ROM: 256 GB SATA SSD with NVMe support
Wireless module: Intel Wireless-AC 7265 (Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g/n/a/ac, Bluetooth 4.2)
Preinstalled OS: Windows 10 Home
Battery: 55 Wh (11.55 V, 4800 mAh)

The laptop is Power Delivery compatible and comes with a 65W charger. The device charges quickly enough, less than an hour.

According to personal feelings, in offline EXPERTBOOK mode, the head will work in the region of 4-5 hours, if you do not play games.

The complete power supply is quite compact.

Cinebench benchmarks measure the laptop’s good performance in both single-core and multi-core tests.

During consumption, it was connected to charging and no other actions were taken on it.

After cooling the filling, two coolers are turned off, which make a loud noise, only the application is more powerful than Word. The sound is rustling, you get used to it quickly.

But on the other hand, the case does not heat up to uncomfortable temperatures, as is sometimes found in similar laptops with a plastic case. Still, the role of aluminum is played by a non-French role in the free dissipation of heat.

Personal impressions

I worked a week on HIPER EXPERTBOOK and I can say with confidence: this is a working machine that requires multitasking and work in subsequent programs when operating with tab management without dependence and lags.

pros:

▪️ aluminum case
▪️ fresh processor, enough for several years
▪️ comfortable touch and quiet backlit keyboard
▪️ you can “finish off” RAM up to 64 GB
▪️ two full USB-C
▪️ large, eye-friendly screen

Minuses:

▪️ coolers make a noticeable noise during an increase in the intensity of exposure.
▪️ one of the two full size USB ports is version 2.0

These people will spend money on their big money.

I would include office workers aged 45+, older generation of relatives among such people (e.g. uncles and grandfathers).

Speaking of service and support

All HIPER laptops have an official 1 year warranty from the date of purchase., and there are service centers throughout Russia. You can see the list by city here.

In modern realities, Western brands do not just leave Russia and take with them the opportunity to service equipment in official institutions, the post-sales support service uses the opportunity to choose a new device. And it doesn’t matter what, be it a laptop, a smartphone or some other kettle.

And HIPER has been working with all federal networks for many years, such as M.video, Citylink and DNS, in their service departments you can really get through quickly, and if you don’t feel like calling, brand representatives actively communicate with customers on social networks.

So if you are looking for a reliable solution for office or remote work, for school or home use, look no further than HIPER EXPERTBOOK. Prices start from 55,000 rubles.

There are six configurations from which you can choose the one that offers solutions for your particular everyday work tasks.
