The B-21 Raider should be able to perform long-range missions from U.S. soil without the need for forward bases and possibly with minimal in-flight refueling.

Other facts accepted by the Air Force about the B-21 are that it can be used in reconnaissance, surveillance and reconnaissance missions as well as long-range attack missions. At the same time, it has a high degree of autonomy and artificial intelligence, allowing it to work as a control platform for a drone swarm. The B-21 is an evolution of the B-2 Spirit bomber.

The close-up view shows that the coating is made of a new composite needed to better disperse the reflected radar signals.

The tail is poorly visible, as are the engine exhausts, but the tail structure appears more integrated into the wing and fuselage rather than the B-2’s different sawtooth configuration.

The Air Force plans to acquire at least 100 B-21 aircraft, the first of which should enter service in 2027.
