The investment fund Russia Partners decided to sell 40% in Banki.ru

RBC’s sources did not disclose the reasons for the plans to divest the stock. Platform representatives declined to comment, shareholders did not respond to questions from the publication.

Russia Partners acquired 30% of the platform for $6 million in 2013 and about 10% a year later. In 2019, the service’s founder, Philip Ilyin-Adayev, testified that Russia Partners allegedly interfered in the company’s work to force him and his family to close the business. A year later, Ilyin-Adaev sold 60% to an “investor consortium.”

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Banki.ru ended 2021 with a loss for the first time in several years – 401.9 million rubles. Revenues amounted to 2.8 billion rubles. Financial figures for 2022 have yet to be revealed.
