As a result, Microsoft technical support specialists connected to his computer through a special interface and downloaded a pirated script from the Internet to activate the system.

The incident caused controversy online. At the same time, it is important to understand that it is not entirely clear how common this practice is within the company. Microsoft’s official position on piracy is pretty strict – it’s strictly against it.
