The total revenue of game developers worldwide was $92.3 billion. At the same time, 56.2% of the revenues came from console projects and 41.3% from PC. The remaining 2.5% is monetization revenue from browser titles.

The biggest sales were in the US, where players spent $31.2 billion. That’s 34% of total sales. In second place is the Asia-Pacific region, where players spend $30.2 billion (33%). Europe in third place – $24.3 billion (26%).

One factor that may have contributed to the decline in video game sales is the shortage of semiconductors. This affected the production of game consoles, for example.

Also, the pandemic may have contributed to the increase in video game sales in 2021, initially when people stayed at home. But as things start to go offline, they may have less time to devote to video games.
