In Moscow, the couriers of the company “Many Losos” began to deliver orders on stilts, the press service of the network said. This greatly saves delivery time in areas where walking is difficult due to melting snow and ice.
The first stilt delivery men took orders in the Kuzminki and Dynamo districts. In Reutov and Balashikha, near Moscow, you can also find an extraordinary delivery method.
The company itself explained that in spring, when it rains a lot and the snow accumulated during the winter melts quickly, couriers need more time for delivery. The network analyzed the reviews of its employees and found that deep puddles and slippery paths on the shady side of residential buildings are the most pressing problem.
“In order to save the delivery time of our users’ orders, we have temporarily assigned a detachment of couriers capable of professional stilt walking in the most impassable parts of Moscow,” said Mikhail Katelevsky, Many Losos brand manager.
In winter, the SberMarket team came up with an unusual delivery format – on reindeer sleighs. During the New Year holidays, they brought goods to a hard-to-reach Sami village in the Murmansk region.
