This time around, insiders said the rollout of the updated Air could happen as early as 2024. The device will allegedly get the latest version of the OLED display, which Apple calls a “tandem stack”.
The same sources noted that the MacBook Pro will continue to be equipped with mini LED displays for a while. However, there is no word on when Pro models will switch to OLED.
In addition to the rumors about OLED displays, insiders have reported that Apple is working on new MacBook Air models based on the as yet unannounced Apple M3 chipset. Announcements from the company are expected in the summer of 2023. Maybe as part of WWDC 2023.
