Therefore, more than 80% of respondents expressed concern that companies are spying on them through “smart” devices. Device surveillance concerns are also high among Baby Boomers (84%) and Gen Z (84%).

The survey showed that 74% of respondents who have smart speakers at home believe these devices are listening to them constantly.

According to the report, 13% of respondents said they would consider buying a phone without smart features to protect their privacy.

Survey results show that privacy is a major concern when it comes to technology use for many Americans.
