According to Valentin Makarov, the head of the association of growing supporters of Russoft software, who brought him to his Telegram channel, Russia may join the production of processors in the next six months after speaking out against the opinion of friendly countries.

As the top manager of the association clarifies, Russia needs to take into account the special importance with protected states that have significant technologies, as well as production areas, discuss programs and projects with the localities, calculate development stages with them and resolve issues of semiconductor production.

According to Makarov, this process must be completed in the next period or year, and in the next year it should be added. Of course, it will be necessary to learn something from partners in terms of microprocessors, adopt experience in this area, train our own personnel and produce power.

As “friendly countries” Makarov cited China, Malaysia, India and “probably South Korea”, but noted that each state inevitably has its own approach. He also noted that the country has its own development of 18-nm chips, but serious problems with Taiwan do not allow them to be produced at the factories of the Taiwanese contract manufacturer TSMC.

We remind you that last autumn it became known that in Russia there is a promising lithographic equipment that allows the production of semiconductor products using advanced technical processes – 7-nm and more hazardous. Toda, it was also reported that the entire development stage would take about 6 years, and more about this for the officers.

It should be added here that now the Russian plant produces chips according to the technological standards of 65-nm and plans to switch to 45-nm and 25-nm, Microa is building a new factory in Zelenograd, where they will produce 28-nm production.
