The Czech authorities have extended the current ban on issuing visas to Russians and Belarusians until the end of March 2024. The restrictions have been extended: now citizens of Russia and Belarus will not be able to obtain a visa, even if they have another citizenship.

Russians and Belarusians will be able to obtain visas and long-term residence permits in the country only in exceptional cases, for example, for humanitarian reasons, TASS writes.

Czech Republic suspended broadcast visas and temporary residence permit Russians in February of last year, later the authorities extended Prohibition until March 2023.

An exception was made for humanitarian trips and those who already have a residence permit. Likewise, relatives of citizens of the Czech Republic, or those whose stay “satisfies the interests” of the republic, can also apply for a short-stay visa.
