The New York Times spoke anonymously with an Apple representative and found out their attitude towards the imminent announcement of an AR helmet.

It is noted that not all employees are positive about the release of the device. Many are skeptical about this event and are not sure that patients generally like the device.

Apple is going to position the helmet primarily as a gadget for videoconferencing and interaction with augmented reality. The company also uses creative accessories, such as downloading images and videos in 3D space.

Finally, the company can use the novelty as a portable cinema. Apple is already partnering with Hollywood directors and producers, including Jon Favreau, to create mass transit.

The New York Times suggests that the product will be more attractive to businesses than to the general public. [9to5]
