There have been three launch waves of the AMD Ryzen 7000 series. The original 7000X desktop processors were followed by non-X variants designed to run at lower TDPs. AMD launched the 7000X3D series earlier this month, which offers the best gaming performance.
Meanwhile, Chinese gamers can now buy non-X models at a great price. So the 12-core Ryzen 9 7900 non-X, which debuted at 4299 yuan, is now on sale for only 2599 yuan. This is lower than the official MSRP even after including sales tax (13%).
The price of the Ryzen 7 7700 has also dropped, now costing 1949 yuan, which is again lower than AMD’s suggested retail price. The 6-core Ryzen 5 7600 can be found for 1449 yuan.
This trend is likely to spread to other markets as well.
